MAYOR OF PEACE LUCKY IGBOKWE TO PAY COUNTERPART FUNDS FOR DIFFERENT YOUTHS AND COOPERATIVES TO SUPPORT ABIA STATE GOVERNOR.
In his avowed commitment to God almighty, on his mission and vision to liberate unemployed vulnerable groups, widows, widowers, Youths and women of Abia State Nigeria from poverty and hunger, MAYOR OF PEACE LUCKY IGBOKWE and Don Lulu Foundation will through their partnership with the World Bank and United Nations, pay counterpart funds, for empowerment of 15,000 Abians, Cooperatives, members of Arise Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd and others, before end of 1st quarter 2022.
Based on his milk of human kindness, aimed at supporting micro business owners in Abia State, briefing newsmen in his office, Hon Obinna Ndukwe Ibiam Director Abia Youths Empowerment In Agricultural Programs and Former Special Adviser to the Governor, asserted that, the capacity building, empowerment programs and processes, will enhance the expedient modern technics, tenable for global best practices and knowledge of the people, on ease of doing business, from the enablers granted by the State actors, for developing economies of nations, he highlighted that Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu have built favorable on the foundation of our founding fathers, and the need to sustain all economic enablers, introduced by the present administration that have instituted a top notch standard, deviation from oil exchange, a robust, prosperous economic future of Abia State, stating that the intangible achievements of Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu are more than the tangible.
Ibiam added that
D L F will grant the unemployed groups and State, a golden opportunity to become self reliant, boost the economy of the people, and increase the internally generated revenue of the state, in a profound robust trajectory, to support the Governor and the government on Job creation, eradicate unemployment and idleness.
He thanked the South African based Agricultural Consultant Mr Emma Mgbekwute PhD and Coordinator DLF Madam Emelda Ugochukwu for introducing first of it’s kind training and Empowerment capacity building to the people, for onward enrollment of Cooperative Societies, and unemployed groups as potential beneficiaries to be shortlist by financial institutions that would provide funding for trained graduands.
He said that successful beneficiaries would receive soft loans that, will comfortably enable the graduands make over 1 million naira each at the end of entire empowerment program process to establish their own Farms.
The former Special Adviser to the Governor, thanked MAYOR OF PEACE LUCKY IGBOKWE for supporting and sustaining the Youths Empowerment Programs of Former Governor T. A Orji and Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, that have directly impacted and improved the lives of the poor and vulnerable.
Ibiam call on Youths Leaders from the 17 LGA to mobilize unemployed persons in their different localities, to leverage on the current Youths Empowerment in Agricultural Programs, powdered by MAYOR OF PEACE LUCKY IGBOKWE who is a United Nations Ambassador and youngest billionaire philanthropist in Abia State to better their lives and become wealth creators, boost food security, curb insecurity and antisocial vices.
Ibiam also appreciated Traditional Ruler of Eke Oba Eze Ifeanyi Nwokenna, who donated lands and a well equip State of the art hall for successful training and capacity building of 600 unemployed persons, graduands, last year September October November December 2021.
He called on well meaning Abians, home and in diaspora to emulate the selfless magnanimity of MAYOR OF PEACE LUCKY IGBOKWE, to support Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu PhD and his government to lift the livelihood of unemployed persons in the state out of poverty and hunger.
Hon Obinna Ndukwe Ibiam, assured those who were not able to receive the first batch of training, to prepare as registration of another batch is ongoing to hit the empowerment of 15,000 Abians before end of the first quarter of 2022.
He advised Abians that the registration will continue to be done through the Traditional Rulers and Youths Leaders of Communities in different LGA of the state, free of charge as no fee or token is expected from interested participants.
