Saraki reacts as Adeleke wins Osun PDP primaryPublished on March 9, 2022By Fikayo Olowolagba Bukola Saraki, former Senate President has reacted as Senator Ademola Adeleke emerged as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the July 16 gubernatorial election. The Chairman of the Osun Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, on Tuesday declared Senator Adeleke winner of the PDP primary. Adeleke polled 1,887 votes to win the ticket of the party for the governorship poll. Presenting the PDP Certificate of Return to Adeleke, Ewhrudjakpo disclosed that 1,916 delegates were accredited, while 24 invalid votes were recorded. Saraki took to his Twitter page congratulating Senator Adeleke on his victory. His tweet read: “I congratulate my dear friend, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his victory at today’s #PDPOsunPrimary! ”Power to the people.” Meanwhile, Dele Adeleke had 1 vote, Dotun Babayemi, 0; Akin Ogunbiyi, 0; Fatai Akinbade, 0 and Sanya Omirin, 4.
