Fifty out of the one hundred and eighteen inmates that escaped from the Suleja Correctional Centre in Niger state have been re-arrested.
They escaped on Wednesday night following the collapse of the perimeter fence of the Centre.
Their arrest was made possible as a result of joint efforts made by the Security operatives and members of the community.
The exact place where the arrested prisoners were kept could not be ascertained.
It was gathered that all steps have been taken to fortify security within the area to forestall similar incidents.
