Prof Uchenna Ikonne ,has emerged winner of the governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Prof Ikonne polled a total of 468 delegates votes to defeat his rivals

The primary was held at Umuahia Township Stadium, Umuahia North LGA Today

Announcing the result, the returning officer, His Excellency the Former Governor of Ekiti State Peter Ayodele Fayoshe, Declared Prof Uchenna Ikonne Winner of the PDP governorship Primary Election as the candidate for Abia State People’s Democratic Party having polled the highest number of valid votes.
