Manchester United has moved to quash rumors of a Cristiano Ronaldo move to Sporting Lisbon.
Caught Offside tweeted Thursday that a Ronaldo returns to Sporting Lisbon was ’99 percent done.
However, an Old Trafford source has told the Daily Mail that the 37-year-old Portugal sensation is still expected to stay with the Red Devils this summer.
The club, meanwhile, could yet sign another four players before the transfer window closes next week.
Despite failing to progress on a £70million deal for Frenkie de Jong since May, talkSPORT understands United has not given up their pursuit of the Barcelona star.
The Red Devils are expected to launch a third bid for wantaway Ajax forward Antony on Friday and remain interested in PSV Eindhoven’s Cody Gakpo.
Meanwhile, United wants to sign Martin Dubravka from Newcastle as a backup to David de Gea.
