HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS TO COL. AKOBUNDU, SENATOR – ELECT!

I, Hon. Barr. Stanley Ojigbo, former Commissioner in Abia State and Secretary General, Abia PDP Campaign Council for the just concluded 2023 General Elections most heartily congratulate my brother, consummate and committed party man, Col. Austin Okwudiri Akobundu on the affirmation of his election victory by the Appeal Court as the Senator representing Abia Central senatorial District.

Our Senator elect, Col. Austin Akobundu (retired) is an outstanding and experienced politician, experienced grassrooter, tested and trusted public servant, retired military personnel and former Minister of State for Defense.

With Col. Akobundu, the people of Abia Central Senatorial zone are in for quality representation that reflects in constituency infrastructural development, economic empowerment and shared prosperity of constituents, peaceful coexistence and happiness for all, especially, as Col. Akobundu represents true equity, coming from Ikwuano LGA that has never occupied Senate position since 1999.

I, therefore enjoin the good people of Isialangwa North, Isialangwa South, Osisioma, Umuahia North, Umuahia South and Ikwuano Local Government Areas to give Col. Akobundu the needed support. I am sure Col. Austin Akobundu as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria would provide effective, purposeful and impactful representation. He would equally give sense of belonging and touch lives of his constituents positively.

To Abia PDP family, I urge you to keep hope alive awaiting God’s divine intervention in the governorship Appeal Tribunal.
