Kano State Commissioner for the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Engr. Muhammad Diggol has resigned his appointment.
A statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, said Governor Abba Yusuf has accepted his resignation.
Although, no reason was stated for the resignation of the appointment.
Engr. Muhammad Diggol was initially and at the inception of Governor Yusuf’s administration in 2023 appointed as Commissioner for Transportation but was affected by the cabinet reshuffle as was later reassigned to the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, where he served until his resignation.
According to the statement, “Governor Yusuf expressed his gratitude to Engr. Diggol for his selfless service, unwavering commitment, dedication, and exemplary work ethic during his tenure as a member of the State Executive Council.
The Governor also extended his best wishes to Engr. Diggol in his future endeavours,” the statement however reads.
Recall that before his resignation, Diggol alongside the sacked Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi was earlier suspended by the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP in the state over what was described as disloyalty, abuse of power and creating chaos in the party.
