A former commissioner for Environment in Abia State, Hon. Barr. Stanley Ojigbo has commended Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his resolve in fixing the healthcare need of Abia people and residents.
Barr. Stanley Ojigbo gave the commendation on the heels of the stone laying ceremony for the Aba Health Village performed by Governor Ikpeazu at the Aba General Hospital premises recently.
He stated that the project is another boost to the Governor’s interventions in the health sector of the State.
The former Commissioner noted that the proposed Health Village, which would house kidney transplant and heart management centres, world class Doctors’ accommodation, ultramodern laboratory, Mother and Child hospital, sports facilities, standard suites for patients, hospital for non communicable deseases among others would gradually put to an end, the quest for medicare outside Abia State.
Barr. Ojigbo said that, for the past six years in office, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has in practical terms demonstrated commitment to the well-being of Ndi Abia through his various healthcare interventions. He pointed out innovative projects such as geriatric out reach, Telehealth initiatives, distribution of medical equipment, renovations of General Hospitals among others done by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as commendable.
Barr. Stanley Ojigbo, who noted that based on these achievements, at the end of the Ikpeazu’s health revolution, Abia State would become a tourist centre for health related matters enjoined the people to be appreciative of the interventions of Governor Ikpeazu in the various sectors of the economy and sustain their support to enable him do more for the people.
