The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, and his wife, Dr. Onyinyechi Orji earlier today attended the funeral service of Late Chief Allen Nwachukwu which held at Eagle “Ugo” Villa, Umuokiri Otuobi Autonomous Community Osisioma Ngwa LGA of Abia State.
While delivering his condolence message, the Speaker described the deceased as a political father who was instrumental to his growth and prominence, and who also played a vital role in his private life.
“Chief Allen Nwachukwu, our dear Obioha and the Ugo Ngwa II of Ngwa Land is one of such men who made immeasurable contributions to my development and denying such would amount to hypocrisy, a vice I don’t want to be guilty of. Having to describe such a colossus as late is one of the most difficult decisions I have encountered in my life; he was an enigma and a master, and Abia as a whole has indeed lost a great man”, the Speaker said.
The Speaker thereafter consoled the family and prayed that God gives them the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
The deceased was the father to Hon Nnamdi Allen Nwachukwu, Member representing Osisioma Ngwa South State Constituency at the 7th Abia State House of Assembly.
Late Chief Allen Nwachukwu served as the Deputy State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and at the last time, he serves as South East Ex-Officio of PDP southeast Zone Nigeria.
Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, the Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Ude Okochukwu, Senator representing Abia Central, Chief Theodore Ahamefule Orji CON, Minister of State for. Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, Members of the National Assembly, Members of the Abia State House of Assembly and their wives, Clergymen, Traditional rulers, captains of industry, and other prominent personalities, attended the funeral service.
