Abia Speaker Hails Alma Mater, Government College Owerri as Epitome of Excellence

Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has hailed his alma mater, Government College Owerri for maintaining its position of excellence and remaining in the nation’s league of ivy schools to date.

The Speaker stated this while reacting to the news that the College emerged second best secondary school in Nigeria following assessments few months ago by a Presidential Monitoring Team which appraised government schools nationwide.

As an Old Boy of the prestigious College, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji said he was proud of his association with the College and expressed delight that the excellence for which the school was known while he was a student there has been maintained to date.
