After extensive spiritual, political and national research and consultations on who succeeds Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu PhD, Concerned Igbo Leaders Forum and Abia Youths came to terms that, Sir Ude Okochukwu of Abia North will be the next Governor of Abia State Nigeria come 2023.
Adumbrating to the press, the leader of the group, a young pragmatic PDP stalwart Hon Obinna Ndukwe Ibiam, former Special Adviser to the Governor on Agricultural Empowerment Programs recalled that the former Governor Senator T. A Orji was right when he campaigned vigorously and insisted that Only Nwa Aba from Abia South must succeed him to can fix Aba, expressing that Governor Ikpeazu have made his mark for two terms which will be most equitable for the most popular, mature, humble, articulate, Smart, most experienced and most acceptable in every LGA, Ward and Community of the state.
The groups congratulated Sir Okochukwu for his successful screening by the zonal office of the PDP as a proud believer of the party, justifying the trust and confidence of the people on him in fixing Abia better than his predecessors.
Ibiam made a case for him and endorsed him for more prosperous Abia after 2023.
The Youth Leaders appreciated Sir Okochukwu in his relentless selfless service to humanity and dogged effort to change the narrative of Abia leadership as second to none in the propagation of effective administrative Governance and spread of positive dividend of democracy to the grassroots and called on well-meaning Abians especially PDP delegates to show same appreciation to Sir Okochukwu, by massively voting for him as a man who knows the problem of the state to continue fixing it better than his predecessors.
He called on the Youths to give maximum support to Sir Ude Okochukwu, better than they did to Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu to enable him change the economic fortune of Abia with the hope to do more better than past Governors.
Hon Obinna Ndukwe Ibiam, and the leadership of Concerned Igbo Leaders Forum, congratulated Governor Ikpeazu for anticipated hitch free administration.
Thanking the Governor for his numerous achievements in the past 7 years, which includes the Reconstruction and Remodeling of Ariaria International Market and for delivering of over 100 roads and counting, with a robust road maintenance team to maintain the beautiful roads, with different eloquent tangible and intangible developments as a strong and comfortable foundation for the next Governor to continue building on the foundation of his predecessors.
Ibiam and the Concerned Igbo Leaders Forum lauded Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu PhD and his Deputy Sir Ude Okochukwu PhD for their giant strides.
The PDP stalwart from Bende LGA, affirmed that despite the National decline of oil output at present, since the second quarter of 2020, Abia economy performed well and better than many states of the nation’s as a result of the unwavering commitment of the Governor and undiluted support of his Deputy Sir Ude Okochukwu the incoming Governor.
Revealing that it is only wicked Abians that discriminates the rotation of governorship sit to Abia North, maintaining that Sir Ude Okochukwu PhD have an efficient youths empowerment Programs and Policies that is wired towards creating meaningful jobs for the Youths to curb unemployment and poverty.
In a separate remark, the Secretary of the Forum and former Senior Special Assistant on Youths grassroots mobilisation Elder Ndukwe Aka, advised Youths not to allow unscrupulous element who leverages on youths idleness to use them and ferment trouble in the polity.
He promised Abia Youths that our Youths friendly and promise keeping incoming Governor, despite the effect of covid19 and security challenges will implement all ongoing Youths Empowerment Program and Policies before the end of his 1st tenure in office.
They appreciated the Governorship hopeful for serving his Boss the present Governor proactively, towards positive measures in ameliorating the effects of Covid19 and the running of Government efficiently in his efforts to restore the economy of the state, and called on Abians irrespective of political party affiliation to pray and support the emergence of Sir Okochukwu.
The Concerned Igbo Leaders called on Southern Leaders to come together and maintain their stand in Devolution of Power, Fiscal Federalism, Resource Control and Nigeria President of Igbo extraction, for a better future of Southern Nigeria devoid of Northern oligarchy, Divide and Rule tendencies of the North, and prioritize Youths Empowerment Programs to cushion the effect of insecurity and the socioeconomic quagmire rocking the nation with the involvement of Youths, in active politics.
