Emperors/Empress of Great Benin and Ethiopia Empires are among the few Africans the Europeans knelt down and bowed to due to their Great Power and Majestic Presence.
They later created many warrant chiefs and puppetic politicians in colonial times inorder to reduce the powers and influence of these Great Kings they once bowed to.
This action didn’t go down well with Idi Amin of Uganda as he was forced to ask the Europeans to kneel, bow to him and also carry him on their shoulders same way they humiliated many Africans in colonial times.
