WHY Gabonese military officers who staged the coup in the country, have arrested the son of President Ali Bongo and some of his loyalists for alleged treason, corruption, and embezzlement.

Bongo’s son, Noureddin Bongo Valentin, was reportedly arrested on Wednesday, a few days after the coup took place and his father was placed on house arrest.
