The midfielder was on target as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side rallied back from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Leeds United at the St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Saints trailed 2-0 after the hour mark, but Aribo’s introduction in the 61st minute reinvigorated the hosts.
Aribo pulled a goal back following a cross from fellow substitute Adam Armstrong in the 72nd minute.
Kyle Walker-Peters levelled the scores nine minutes from time.
I’m buzzing, I was able to leave my impact on the game,” Aribo told BBC Sport.
I’m happy I was able to help the team fight back.
I think the fans stayed behind us even when it got to 2-0.”
”Surprised I got my first Premier League goal with my right foot.”
