The Abia State Environmental Protection Agency,ASEPA Ikwuano Zone Head,Hon Jerry Awa has called on residents to be mindful of refuse disposal within the environment.

Hon,Jerry made the call on Saturday while on tour of the area especially Umudike,Amawom,Ndoro and Ariam
areas respectively.

He cautioned people living within the environment to desist from incessant refuse disposal which causes traffic gridlock and creating an eyesore to the area.

He warned that anyone caught will be dealt with accordingly as the agency has set up a taskforce to monitor refuse disposal.

Hon Jerry said the time for disposing refuse will be from 6pm to 10pm everyday as anyone found wanting will be prosecuted.
