Gunmen have again abducted a former permanent Commissioner of Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC), Hon Sanusi Wanzamai Sanusi.

Report has it that he was abducted on Monday evening alongside his younger brother at Gidan-Giye village, along Gusau-Tsafe -Wanzamai road, few kilometers away from Tsafe town.

The villagers said the former permanent Commissioner was trying to repair his car which developed problem while the bandits were crossing the road.

They swooped on him and took them to their hideout inside the forest,” the source said.

However, the State’s police Public Relations Officer,(PPRO), SP Mohammed Shehu could not be reached for comment as of the time of filing this report.
