Freetown, Sierra Leone – Oladipo Akinremi, FIMC, CMS, CMC, Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer of Sky Bank Sierra Leone, has been officially conferred with the distinguished title of Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) by the Institute of Management Consultants Nigeria (IMC).
The IMC is a full member of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI), the globally recognised apex body for management consulting, with United Nations NGO consultative status. The FIMC designation is one of the highest professional honours in the field, reserved for seasoned leaders whose expertise and contributions have made a lasting impact on management practice worldwide.
An economist by training, Akinremi holds a Master’s degree in Managerial Psychology and is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) as well as a Certified Management Specialist (CMS) from the London Graduate School. With over two decades of banking experience across West Africa, he is widely respected for combining financial acumen with people-centred leadership to drive operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Speaking recently at a high-level meeting on cross-border payments and global banking partnerships in London, Akinremi underscored the transformative role of technology—particularly artificial intelligence (AI)—in reshaping both banking and management consulting. He highlighted the urgent need for greater digital integration to streamline international financial flows, especially between Africa and global markets, positioning financial institutions and consultants as critical partners in today’s rapidly evolving ecosystem.
