A one-time Executive Chairman of Ikwuano Local Government Area and an APC chieftain, Chief Bar.K.C.Ugboaja has called on a former Chief of Staff to the state government, Chief Charles Ogbonna, Evologu Ibeku, to desist from unguarded statements capable of undermining the peace of the state.

He made this known to newsmen in his hometown Ariam in Ikwuano LGA of the state on Sunday when he met with the stakeholders of the party, who paid him a solidarity visit.

He reiterated that the Ukwa-Ngwa division of Abia central zone should be allowed to govern the state for equity to reign.

In his words, the statement made by Chief Charles Ogbonna Evologu Ibeku, that no Ukwa-Ngwa son from Abia central should govern the state come 2023 is unacceptable to the people of Ikwuano and Abia Central in general.

He, therefore, called on Chief Charles Ogbonna Evologu Ibeku to apologize to the people for such utterance capable of destabilizing the peace and tranquility enjoyed in the state.

He called for the Abia-Charter of Equity to be respected for peace and good governance to prevail in the state.
He called for the support of the Ukwa-Ngwa division of Abia central zone to produce the next chief executive of the state come 2023.

The APC Ikwuano stakeholders unanimously supported the Ukwa-Ngwa division of the old Aba zone to produce the next governor of the state come 2023.
