As Abia State joins other four States of the federation to mark the 30th anniversary of its creation by the former Military President, General Badamosi Babangida regime, a former Commissioner in Abia State Executive Council, Barr. Stanley Ojigbo has lauded Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for his ingenuity in enunciating good policy thrust as pillars of development geared towards ensuring that Abia is taking the lead in various areas of development in line with his visions of the founding fathers.
Barr. Stanley Ojigbo who was reacting to the activities marking Abia Day celebration said at 30, Abia has not done badly as the State has made numerous progress in various facets of the economy, maintained that development is a gradual process. He said the present Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration has lived up to expectations, especially in the areas of road infrastructure, education, industrialization, SME among others and commended the Governor’s efforts in health sector especially the recently commissioned Nkporo Cottage Hospital built with state of the arts facilities to improve health in the rural communities.
Barr. Ojigbo, who has served both the military and civilian Governors in various capacities saluted the efforts of successive administrations in realizing the dreams of the founding fathers of the State. He pointed out that the use of cement pavement technology in road construction and establishment of footwear factory in Aba to assist the artisans including the recent introduction of novel security structure that involves various local security personnel which is responsible for gathering intelligence and nipping criminal activities in the bud are proof of the Governor’s commitment to better the people of the State.
He advised Abians to keep hope alive and sustain their support to Governor Ikpeazu assuring that the administration is committed to making the State great.
