Power is too serious a thing to be entrusted to just anybody. The right application of power brings with it, all the positives including willful adherence to law and order. However, the same power becomes disastrous and fatal when given to the wrong person.

Permit me to indulge you on some of the intangibles Abians enjoy but fail to appreciate the enormous efforts behind the scenes. That Abia is undoubtedly the most peaceful state in Nigeria didn’t happen by chance. While we appreciate the God factor, let me reiterate it that the peace-loving governor through his naturally given right temperament, calm nature, and deep thinking attributes, ensured he applied the right policies in alliance with the security agents to sustain peace and security.

Abia still needs that man with the right temperament, deep thought process, humble enough to reach out and hear from his people, a unifier and focused administrator with structure and order as key components to service delivery.

Chief Okey Ahiwe is all these and more. He is prepared to serve and be reckoned with as one of us whose passion centers on accelerated development.

Fortunately, he is a brand whom the masses have dubbed “Ahia oma’s one ya”, owing to several positive testimonies from people that have felt his direct touch.
