As Abia PDP goes to primary poll for replacement of late Professor Ikonne today.
Chief Sir Okechukwu Ahiwe write to the Abia state delegate to vote for him.
Today, our great party, the PDP gets set to elect a candidate who will fly our party’s flag following the unfortunate demise of Prof. Uche Eleazar Ikonne, who had great dreams and programs for the development of our dear State. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
It is a rare privilege and honor for you, distinguished Delegates, to be entrusted with such a huge responsibility by our great party to elect a man who will lead our party to victory in the governorship election scheduled to be held on the 11th of March 2023.
I, therefore, urge you to vote for a man who will deliver inclusive development, prosperity, good and participatory governance, one who will not recognize clannish boundaries but unify Abians, a humane but strong character with the capacity to deliver quality governance, a God-fearing, a competent and experienced administrator with cognate experience, one who lives with us, understands our needs and is prepared and ready to work for the greater development of every part of our dear state, a result-orientated leader that will make youth empowerment and development a priority, a courageous leader, who will lead from the front and ensure the wellbeing, justice, security, and quality life for all.
I, Chief Okey Ambrose Ahiwe, hereby humbly present myself and urge our distinguished delegates to cast their vote for me in the hours ahead, as I have all it takes to deliver the Abia of our dreams which we all will be proud of.
To my fellow aspirants, I urge you all to embrace peace and shun any action capable of causing a crisis or derailing the process. As we present ourselves to be elected by the delegates, let us remember that all that we seek is to lead our party to victory and give them a government that will deliver prosperity and good governance.
Let us remember that the Abians are watching us as we carry their aspirations, dreams, hopes, and futures.
When elected, I promise you I will work hard to carry everybody along in the interest of our great party and our dear state.
This is the time to achieve a greater Abia, come, let us work together to achieve a prosperous and peaceful Abia.
