The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Abia State Chapter on Monday, held a State prayer over the Tribunal Judgement for the Governorship election Coming up on the 6th of October in Umuahia.
The CAN Abia state Chairman, Revd Ojoh Ojoh Uduma while speaking with journalists after the prayers in Umuahia, said the aim was to bring about prayer for the state and Justice from the Tribunal.
He said that it was to beseech God to intercede so that the state in the forthcoming tribunal Judgement will have victory, peace, and stability, as well as progress in all facets of life.
As Christians, we are people of prayer, and now that our state is witnessing development.
And we are people of faith, we believe that any time we call upon Him with sincerity, he answers us.
So CAN decide that it will be a good thing for us to gather particularly at this time of we are expecting tribunal Judgment so that the Lord will grant us Victory and Peace for the state.
That is the reason why we gathered Christians on the platform of CAN Abia State Chapter to do this prayer,” he added.
We have come today to pray and ask the Lord to disable the weapons of war and grant Victory at the tribunal.
He said it was right for the leadership of the CAN Abia state chapter to organize state prayers.
He prayed for God to disarm all those planning evil against the people of the state.
