The Chief Medical Officer, CMO of Federal Medical Centre, FMC in Umuahia, Abia State, Dr Udo Orji Nnorom is died.

Dr. Nnorom is a native of Nde Owuu, Ibom compound, Arochukwu LGA, Abia State died after a brief illness.

The Medical Director, FMC Umuahia, Prof. Onyebuchi Azubuike confirmed the incident, disclosing that late Nnorom died at about 1:15 am Sunday.

The visibly emotional MD said he has not slept since that 1.15 am, adding that the hospital will, by Wednesday determine the cause of his death.

Late Nnorom was only sick for few days
