Commuters and motorists in the Ojuelegba axis of Lagos State on Saturday morning were stranded following a gas leakage from a moving truck.

The incident, which occurred around 9 am between the Stadium Bus stop and the Barracks Bus stop, already saw men from the Lagos State Fire Service in action, preventing access to certain areas in a bid to avert an explosion.

Our correspondent, who was on the scene, also confirmed the presence of some reverent security and safety operatives.

An eyewitness who gave his name as Olamide said the truck was in transit when it began leaking around 9 am.

He said, “This truck has been leaking gas since around 9 am, but the Lagos Fire Service arrived on time.”
