Congratulations to the Labour Party candidate who emerged victorious in the just concluded primaries. Your victory marks a significant step forward, but let me be clear—victory must come through the will of the people, not through manipulation. To all those who entertain thoughts of rigging and electoral malpractice, know this: we will not tolerate it.

I have never been one to mince words, and today is no different. While some may shy away from speaking the truth, I have always stood on the side of the people, unafraid to confront any form of injustice. The leadership of the Labour Party must embody the “New Abia” we promised the people. We cannot preach fairness and transparency while permitting underhanded tactics. Any attempt to subvert the will of the people in 2024 will be met with a swift and decisive response. We will clap back—loudly and unmistakably.

Ikwuano must come first. Our land, our people, deserve nothing less than a free and fair election. We must rise above partisan games and deliver a process that honors the democratic rights of every citizen. Anything short of this is an affront to the sacrifices we’ve made and the future we hope to build.

To those who still think that the old ways will prevail, let me remind you: we are no longer who we used to be. We have seen the light, and we are ready to act. The For Us By Us movement will not stand idly by; we will fight to protect the integrity of our democracy and the future of Ikwuano.
