Chairman and Spiritual Leader of Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O), Prophet Samuel Abidoye, who died on November 12, at 103 years, will be buried on April 27, at Galilee Land, Orile-Igbon, Oyo State.
According to the arrangements, the remains of Prophet Abidoye will be interred by 12 noon at his mausoleum that day after a funeral service at Galilee Church Auditorium by Rev. Daniel Okoh, president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). Guests will be entertained at Galilee Land Primary & Secondary School Playing Ground.
The programs, as announced by the Burial Committee, led by Chair of Chemstar Group, Remi Awode, will kick off on Monday, with a Service of Songs at Galilee Church Auditorium, while on Tuesday, there will be more songs and tributes by pastors, prophets, evangelists, teachers, with other events following.
According to the burial arrangements, the remains of Baba Aladura, prophet Abidoye, will be committed to Mother Earth by 12 noon at his Mausoleum in Galilee Land on Saturday, April 27, 2024, after a burial service at the Galilee Church Auditorium Most Rev. Daniel Okoh, President Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), with the topic: “I finished my course” (2 Timothy 4:7), while entertainment of guests will be held immediately at the Galilee Land Primary & Secondary School Playing Ground.
The burial programmes, as announced by the Baba Aladura Burial Committee, chaired by the Chairman/CEO Chemstar Group, and staunch member of the church, Snr. Sp Ap Remi Awode, the activities will kick off formally on April 22 with Service of Songs at the Galilee Church Auditorium, to be anchored by Youths, Women Fellowship and Children Ministry, with the theme: “The Place,” while on April 23, it will be the second Service of Songs and Tributes by the Councils of Pastors, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers, Model Churches.
On Wednesday, April 24, will be Sports & Night of Tributes featuring Football & Handball students of C&S College, Ilorin, Kwara State, as well as Tributes by Galilee Land Committee representatives, funeral committee representatives, communities/family representatives, UK diaspora representatives, USA diaspora representatives, Unification Church, OAIC, and CAN Churches.
Baba Aladura’s corpse will leave the mortuary on April 25 for Omu-Aran, Kwara State, his home town for celebration & lying in state service at Ile Nla, Omu-Aran, and GSS Field, Omu-Aran, while the corpse will return to Galilee Land same day.
On April 26, it will be a twin program featuring Christian Wake to Keep Service and Praise Night at Galilee land, as well as a Night of Tributes by the Conference Secretariat, Management Committee, Conference Advisory Committee, family, and Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Church.
As part of the burial arrangements, the Dr. Awode-led Baba Aladura Burial Committee has visited the various District Headquarters of the church in Lagos, Ibadan, Ilorin, and other cities to brief and sensitize members of the church about the burial arrangements and to come out in their large numbers to give Baba Aladura and Spiritual Father of CSMC, Prophet Abidoye, a befitting burial, as well as to bid him farewell.
Awode, during the visit to some districts in Ibadan last Sunday, however, said: “Baba Aladura was our father. He did a lot for CSCM in his lifetime. We all realized that without Prophet Adefila Abidoye, there wouldn’t be Galilee Land today. So, we expect all members to attend his burial as all provisions have been made for all members in that regard.”
