CVR: Fresh Registration Hits 8.85million – INEC

The ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) has reached 8,855,996 as at May 2.

This was made known by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday.

The weekly update for Fourth Quarter, Week3 shows that 5,415,619 Nigerians have completed their registration.

A total of 2,379,063 did online registration, while 3,036,556 did physical registration.

Those who completed theirs include 45,412 Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) and 3,745,129 youths.

INEC has received 15,789,718 applications for voter transfer, replacement of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and change of voter information record.

Going by gender distribution figures, 8,330,813 are males, while 7,458,905 are females.
