Deacon Stanley Ojigbo Former Executive Chairman of Ikwuano Local Government Area has described the Vanguard Newspapers Governor Of The Year Award given to Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu as most deserving.
Deacon Stanley Ojigbo was reacting to the latest award on the Governor over the weekend by the Vanguard Newspapers publishing company. He attributed the awards to the Governor’s unrelenting commitment in the promotion of Made in Aba products, the development of Small & Medium Scale Enterprise (SME), and unprecedented achievements in the areas of road infrastructure, education, health, investment, and other sectors of the State.
Deacon Ojigbo said the award was not surprising considering the intimidating performance of Dr. Ikpeazu since he assumed office as he has left no one in doubt of his sterling qualities and unequal landmark strides in office.
While stating that it was equally the Governor’s unparalleled performance that made Abia become the third State behind Abuja and Lagos indirect foreign investment inflow in 2020, Deacon Ojigbo who was a former Commissioner for Environment lauded the Governor for his determined efforts to end the perennial flooding and environmental challenge witnessed around Ngwa Road, Portharcourt Road, Ndiegoro and its environs in Aba through the ongoing flood and stormwater management works in the area, commended the Vanguard Newspapers publishing company for the award and urged the Governor to continue in his efforts to leave Abia better than he met it.
