Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly has entered the race to sign Memphis Depay from Barcelona.
The Mail reports that Barcelona are willing to offer right-back Sergino Dest and Depay in a swap deal for Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.
While Chelsea allowed Antonio Rudiger to join Real Madrid for free this summer, Barcelona have already snapped up centre-back Andreas Christensen from Stamford Bridge.
Azpilicueta and Alonso are currently in the final year of their contracts. This is likely Thomas Tuchel’s last chance to get something in return for the pair.
The 21-year-old Dest has been linked with Chelsea before and would provide good competition for Reece James in the right-wing.
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is keen on signing marquee players in his first summer in charge and has also been linked with possible moves for Raheem Sterling and United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
The deal for Sterling is said to be almost completed, while talks with Ronaldo are still ongoing.
Depay, 28, endured a difficult time at Old Trafford from 2015 to 2017, scoring just two league goals.
