DNKI Abia State Chapter Donates Blood to FMC Umuahia to Mark this Year World Donor Day.
A humanitarian organisation, De Norsemen Kclub International (DNKI) Abia State Chapter led by Mr.Jude Okenwa , has donated blood to Federal Medical Center Umuahia in celebration of World Donor Day.
The Deputy Chief Medical Director of FMC Umuahia, Dr. Ikechukwu Ogbonna commended the Abia State Chapter of De Norsemen Kclub International – DNKI on the occasion of World blood donor Day.
The leader of the team Mr. Jude Okenwa and the Gracious Team were received by the DCMD and other senior Management Staff of FMC Umuahia, Dr. Ikechukwu Ogbonna
Dr. Ikechukwu Ogbonna, DCMD – FMC Umuahia who spoke on behalf of the Chief Medical Director who traveled out of Umuahia station for official assignment was saturated with joy to receive DNKI Abia State Chapter for this kind gesture.
He appreciated the august visitors for taken such bold step and particularly selecting FMC Umuahia as their catchment donor center for this year World blood donor day which coincided with it’s 20th anniversary World Donor Day.
CDA News reports that the Leader of DNKI Abia state Chapter , Okenwa Jude said the action was part of their service to humanity especially to mark this year World blood donor Day.
The event featured screening of blood “specimen” and donations were done simultaneously by members of the club who came in their numbers.
