Edo election’ll be decided by the people, not TV analysts – APC campaign org.

Twenty-one days to the September 21 governorship election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Organization has said the outcome of the election would be decided by the people of Edo State and not television analysts.

The Organization was reacting to comments by the Edo State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare who lambasted APC’s Acting State Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe on Arise Television where it defended the APC’s candidate, Sen Monday Okpebholo non-appearance on television stations.

In a statement by the Director of Publicity, APC Governorship Campaign Organization, Comrade Orobosa Omo-Ojo said there is infrastructural decay across the state which he said has “exacerbated the socioeconomic crises, caused by wanton neglect of the rural dwellers” which he said directly affect the people adding that meeting the people directly to tell them of the way forward is .pre productive than analysis on television.

He said “Edo people can only score Governor Godwin Obaseki and his People’s Democratic Party with the works done or undone in tangible pillars such as roads, schools, hospitals, agriculture, land administration, culture, and relationship with our treasured traditional institutions when they will be casting their votes for freedom on September 21, 2024.

They will not be confounded about the difficulties and dangers they are presently facing or be deceived about the prosperity they enjoyed during the eight years of APC administration under the leadership of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. They will rationalize these glaring contrasts on September 21, 2024, to reclaim and reset Edo to the past glory that APC attained in the state.

The statement made by our State Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe that Edo State has been pushed below the poverty line by Governor Obaseki and as such, the majority of the poor rural dwellers are unable to buy Android phones or data, aptly defines the miserable hardship that has been caused by the PowerPoint administration of PDP in Edo State.

No analysis of junk data coming from any onlooker, observing from his armchair in Lagos, Abuja or anywhere outside Edo State will abort the plan of stakeholders to own their destiny.”

He invited the media representatives to join the APC campaign train to the 192 wards “to gather organic and substantiated data on the Local Economic Development (LED) from Edo rural dwellers.”

He said the underdevelopment in the state also affects senior officials of the current government including Ike in Uhunmwonde local government area, the ancestral home of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
