Embrace Peace and Shun Divisive Tendencies, Hon Eze Okwulehie advises Members of Abia Solidarity Youth Movement ( ASYM )

The Abia Solidarity Youth Movement ( ASYM ), a progressive and liberal grassroot youth organisation with membership and formation across the Seventeen (17) Local Government Areas of Abia State earlier today held their General Meeting at Exclusive Lodge, opposite Golden Guinea breweries Umuahia.

In his speech, the Convener of the reverend organisation, Hon Eze Okwulehie appreciated the old and new members of the group for coming in their numbers, he said he was particularly elated because the huge turn out clearly indicated that the group is on a right path.

He urged the members to embrace peace and shun all negative tendencies that will bring disunity amongst them.

He thanked the Governor for his youth friendly policies, empowering the youths through his foresighted visions especially the establishment of laudable SMEs initiatives and youth friendly agenda to move the State forward.

Finally the Convener of the organisation, Hon Eze Okwulehie said the group will organize a One Million Youth March in honour of His Excellency, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s youthful disposition to governance in the State and the rally is expected to come before the third quarter of the year.

Hon Eze Okwulehie announced Sir Pat Mgbemena and Chief Romeo Ezimoha as Board of Trustee members and Comrade Ikechukwu Kelvin Okorie as the State Media Director of the organisation.

The Secretary of Abia Solidarity Youth Movement, Mr Chris Ebere Akomah read out the position of the group on issues bothering politics in the State.

The Communique read as follows:

That the Governor continue in his laudable programmes of building the economy of the State through SMEs and Youth Empowerment initiatives.

That the organisation support his structured systematic initiative of developing the infrastructural demand of the State, also appreciate his performance of even development and capital projects in Aba.

That the organisation believes in the capabilities of the youths in the State and passionately appeal to the Governor to support a broad base candidate with youthful disposition and capacity to deliver.

That the organisation as a solidarity movement will drum support for the Kinetic Governor, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu in his future political ambition and support any youth oriented governorship candidate that has shown immense capacity over the years.

Earlier in his remarks, Sir Pat Mgbemena who is a top political figure in the State and chairman of the occasion congratulated the Convener for doing a wonderful job by gathering youths of like minds for the purpose of developing our dear State, he reiterated his support and promised to contribute immensely to the growth of the organisation.

Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor, Mr Obed Asiegbu Nnaji, State and Ward Executives of the organisation and other dignitaries attended the event.
