EPL: I make no concessions – Ten Hag warns Ronaldo, Maguire, other Man Utd stars

New Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has warned his players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Maguire, among others, that ‘no concessions’ will be made as he looks to bring success back to Old Trafford.

Ten Hag was appointed Man United’s new manager on Thursday.

The Ajax boss will take over from interim manager, Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season.

The Dutchman signed a three-year deal with Man United.

Asked whether he can cope with the superstars at Man United and ‘the Cristiano Ronaldo’s of this world’, Ten Hag told Dutch outlet Trouw: “I think I can, but I will stay myself in that.

I won’t change my vision on coaching. The players always determine how you play, but I indicate the requirements that come with it and the standards.

I will tell them their task and whoever does not meet those tasks will hear that from me, no matter who it’s. I make no concessions in that regard.”

Meanwhile, Man United will face Arsenal on Saturday afternoon at Emirates.
