Ex-Lawmaker Hon.Theo Ugboaja Condemns Imposition of Minority Party as Majority Leader in the House by Abia Speaker Emeruwa

Hon.Theo Ugboaja the former state lawmaker has condemned the action of Abia Speaker Rt.Hon.Emeruwa to allow the PDP majority to take their rightful position in the house and produce Majority Leader of the 8th Assembly.

CDA News gathers that he condemns in totality the reckless and high-Handing attitude of the speaker to jeopardize the peace and tranquility of the house by saying he will run the affairs of the House of Assembly as his private property.

In his speech, I don’t know why the Speaker who seems to have been favored would want to tow this way, even if his party leadership advise him to do so he should have applied wisdom.

What he is trying to fight for is against the house rule, house rule is likened to a bye-law. why swinging against the tide? I think he needs more orientation.

House of Assembly is an arm of government different from the executive and is the beacon of democracy because they checkmate both the executive and the judiciary, therefore he should allow the rule to play out.

A mature mind who has been voted to direct the affairs of this revered house should have seen this as a win-win game rather than a win-all.

He might lose relevance so soon that his party leadership or whoever gingers him will turn against him, and he may be replaced with someone else.
