Explosion injures three in Kaduna community

There was serious confusion among residents of Danmani community, in Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna on Friday night, following an explosion.

According to an eyewitness, the incident occurred close to a P. O. S operator shop, close to Abubakar Sadiq Mosque.

The eyewitness told Cdanewsonline that an object suspected to be explosive was found close to the P O S operator in the area.

According to a local Vigilante in the community, who craved anonymity, the explosion injured the POS operator who was later rushed to a nearby hospital.

According to him, “The man was rushed to hospital for treatment because his legs and finger nails were badly affected. The case has been reported to the police.”

He explained that following the explosion, two other people sustained various degrees of injuries.

He further explained that a team of anti-bomb squad arrived the scene and detonated another explosive that was put in the ground.

The police are yet to comment on the incident, as the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Jalige Mohammed, did not answer calls put to his phone.
