The family of the late wife of Hon Mbazulike Iloka, the newly appointed Caretaker Committee Chairman of Nnewi North LGA, accused him of killing his wife.

It was alleged that Hon. Mbazulike’s wife caught him when he picked some young ladies she suspected to be his side chick at the event they attended on Saturday evening, which she tried to stop him but to no avail.

According to the family members and friends of late Mrs. Chidiebere Iloka, they disclosed that he beat his wife to death over a heated argument between the couples on Sunday morning because of what happened at the event they attended on Saturday evening.

Hon. Mbazulike, in his account, says she slumped and died, a report that is being disputed in some quarters by friends and family members of the late Mrs. Chidibere who had earlier reported several cases of Domestic Violence and a repeat of the same that Sunday evening that leads to her death.

Family sources hinted that when they arrived at the scene, they found Chidiebere’s corpse on the ground with marks of bruises and cuts on her body

Community sources hinted that an investigation was ongoing, to unravel the mystery behind the incident, adding that the corpse of the woman had been deposited at the morgue for post-mortem examination. As both families are divided on the circumstances that lead to her death.

Did she die a natural death by slumping or beating to death?

Only time and investigations will unravel the circumstances that lead to her death.
