After extensive spiritual, political and national research and consultations on who succeeds Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu PhD, Concerned Igbo Leaders Forum and Abia Youths came to terms that, based on latest developments in the state, Chief Okey Ahaiwe of Abia Central of Ngwa extraction will be the next Governor of Abia State Nigeria come 2023.
Addressing the press, the leader of the group, a young pragmatic PDP heavyweight, Hon Obinna Ndukwe Ibiam, former Special Adviser to the Governor on Agricultural Empowerment Programs, recalled that the former Governor Senator T. A Orji, was right when he campaigned vigorously and insisted that Only Governor Ikpeazu from Abia South must succeed him to fix Aba, expressing that Governor Ikpeazu have justified his best and made his mark for two terms, which will be most equitable for the most kind hearted, popular, mature, humble, articulate, Smart, most experienced and most acceptable in every LGA, Ward and Community of the state to emerge from Isialangwa North.
The groups congratulated Chief Okey Ahaiwe, for anticipated successful screening and election victory, affirming their unwavering trust and have confidence in him to fix Abia, through innovative Youths inclusion in administrative governance, better than his predecessors.
Ibiam made a case for him and endorsed him as Governor in waiting, for the Youths and for more prosperous Abia, after 2023 election.
The Youth Leaders appreciated Chief Okey Ahaiwe in his relentless, selfless service to the state as Chief Of Staff, his passion to deliver, and his dogged effort to change the narrative of Abia leadership, in all facet of development.
They expressed their admiration on the capacity and humane lifestyle of Chief Okey as second to none, in the propagation of effective administrative Governance and spread of positive dividend of democracy to the grassroots, they called on well-meaning Abians especially, PDP delegates to show some appreciation to Chief Okey Ahaiwe by, massively voting for him, as a man who knows the problem of the state, to continue fixing it faster and better than his predecessors.
He called on PDP delegates who’s majority are members of Abia Youths Empowerment In Agricultural Programs, to give maximum support to Chief Okey Ahaiwe, all PDP candidates and Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, to enable them attract national and foreign investments and change the economic fortune of our dear State.
Hon Obinna Ndukwe Ibiam, and the leadership of Concerned Igbo Leaders Forum, congratulated Governor Ikpeazu for anticipated hitch free election into the Senate based on his track record of victory in elections since 2015.
Thanking the Governor for his numerous achievements in the past 7 years, which includes the Construction of Osisioma flyover, Nsulu Poultry Cluster, Free Trade Zone in Aba, Reconstruction and Remodeling of Ariaria International Market and for delivering of over 160 roads and counting, with a robust road maintenance team to maintain the beautiful roads, with different eloquent tangible and intangible developments, as a strong and comfortable foundation for the next Governor to continue building on the foundation of his predecessors.
Ibiam and the Concerned Igbo Leaders Forum lauded Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu PhD and console him for the death of Prof Ikonne.

In a separate remark, the Secretary of the Forum and present Senior Special Adviser on Entertainment and Youths grassroots mobilisation, Hon Exnel Firstson* Chinweuba Nwaubani advised Abia Youths, not to allow unscrupulous element who leverages on youths idleness to use them and ferment trouble in the polity.
He promised Abia Youths that our Youths friendly and promise keeping incoming Governor, despite the effect of covid19 and security challenges will implement all ongoing Youths Empowerment Program and Policies before the end of his 1st tenure in office.
They appreciated the Governorship hopeful for serving his Boss the present Governor proactively, towards positive measures in ameliorating the effects of Covid19 and the running of Government efficiently in his efforts to restore the economy of the state, and called on Abians irrespective of political party affiliation to pray and support the emergence of Chief Okey Ahaiwe.
The Concerned Igbo Leaders called on Southern Leaders to come together and maintain their stand in Devolution of Power, Fiscal Federalism, Resource Control and Nigeria’s President of Igbo extraction and prioritize Youths Empowerment Programs, to cushion the effect of insecurity and the socioeconomic quagmire, rocking the nation with the involvement of Youths, in active politics.
