Deacon Stanley Ojigbo commended Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu for building and equiping first ever Abia State Children Specialist Hospital in Umuahia
A former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Abia State, Deacon Stanley Ojigbo has commended Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for building and equiping the first ever Abia State Children Specialist Hospital in Umuahia.
Deacon Ojigbo was speaking during the commissioning of the Abia State Children Specialist Hospital in Umuahia by the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Iyorchia Ayu. He described the specialist hospital dedicated for the mother and child as unprecedented.
According to Deacon Stanley Ojigbo, the hospital would assist greatly in the reduction of infant and maternal mortality rate in the State as the health facility has all that is needed to function effectively, including the state of the art facilities to take care of special cases concerning children and mothers, adding that it would guarantee accessible quality healthcare to the people, especially, children and their mothers.
The Ikwuano born PDP chieftain, who appreciated the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Iyorchia Ayu for coming to commission the project saluted him for acknowledging and applauding Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for delivering services in line with the PDP manifesto, which include, to build roads, to provide medical facilities, to provide education among numerous others for the electorates. He enjoined the managers of the specialist hospital to put the facilities in good use while advising Abia people and residents to utilize the hospital to save lives of the mother and child.
Deacon Stanley Ojigbo equally used the opportunity to enjoin Abians to maintain their trust and confidence in the government of Dr. Okezie lkpeazu, especially at this transition period and pray for a successor who would appreciate the centrality of democratic norms and serve with the fear of God. He further reminded Abians of the need to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) in readiness for the forthcoming general elections.
