Former Minister of Defence (State), Col Austin Akobundu rtd, has described the late Lady Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa, the wife of Senator Moa Ohuabunwa and former Speaker of ECOWAS Parliament as a woman of virtue whose death has left a big vacuum in Ohuabunwa dynasty.

In a condolence message he sent to the Ohubunwas on Tuesday, the former minister implored the bereaved family to take solace in the Lord and bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.

The full text of the condolence message reads: “With a heart full of grief, I received the sad news of the passage to the eternal glory of your dear wife, Lady Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa.

“Nimi was a woman of virtue, distinguished lawyer, and woman of God and I can recall that she was a true companion and source of inspiration to you and the entire Ohuabunwa family.

Though the loss of a loved one is too hard to handle, I would nonetheless implore you, my dear friend and Distinguished Senator, to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude, bearing in mind that her short spell in life was not without great achievements.

“She does not doubt by her death left a huge vacuum in the entire Ohuabunwa dynasty as she was at all times providing the needed support and encouragement to you her husband, the children as well as the members of the dynasty.

“On behalf of my wife, children, and the entire Austin Akobundu family, I wish to plead with you and your children to have solace in the Almighty God who knows our end from the beginning. I assure you of our relentless prayers to the family and pray that God, in His infinite mercy, will accept her soul in His paradise”.
