Gov Buni mourns as 12 perish in fatal road crash

Yobe State Governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mala Buni has mourned the death of 12 persons involved in a fatal road accident along Buni-Yadi road on Wednesday.

The Governor on Thursday, who condoled families of the deceased persons through his spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed, described as sad and unfortunate, the loss of 12 lives in the accident involving three vehicles.

On behalf of the government and the people of Yobe State, l condole the families of the deceased persons and pray to Allah to admit them into Aljannatur Firdaus.

We also pray Allah to grant their families, friends and relations the fortitude to bear the sad loss of their loved ones,” Governor Buni prayed.

Meanwhile, Governor Mai Mala Buni has directed the hospital authorities to provide free treatment to those who sustained injuries in the accident.

He similarly directed the State Emergency Management Agency and the Chairman Gujba Local Government Council to support the families of the deceased at this trying moment.

Buni, however, called on all road users to avoid over speeding, observe traffic laws and keep good maintenance of their vehicles to minimize road accidents.
