GREAT WOMEN MAKES GREAT SOCIETY, ENGR SMITH ENCOURAGES ABIA YOUNG LADIES ORGANIZATION
The State Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria, Engr Smith O. Sylvanus today received in audience the Executive Members of Abia young ladies Organization led by Miss Ruth Tracey Akwarandu in his office at Umuahia.
Engr Smith while receiving the delegates expressed happiness with all sense of patriotism and gender inequality emancipation noted that great women makes great society, He further described as he welcomed them to the youth house as vmaket and focused ladies who drew all the membership across the 17 LGAs.
The leader of the group Miss Ruth Tracey thanked the state Chairman for his resilience and efforts in positioning the youths of Abia with lots of engaging programs and further enumerated the reasons for their visit as to familiarize with him as the general state leader of the Apex youth body.
She fher informs therman of their plans to organize a one week entrepreneurship skill acquisition training 30 ladies in each of the 17 LGAsone-weeks will felicitate more job creation for our ladies while appealing for the chairman’s support in securing soft loans to enable them build up most of their small scale businesses.
Further in their requests sort the to airman’s support in securing the registration of their, organization from the ministry of youth and sports development to help them felicitate the official lunching of their organization.
To carry the ladies along in securing political app launching and to also secure scholarships for their undergraduates in tertiary institutions.
The state Chairman assured undergraduates scholarship future is bright for anyone who queue in to the Youth development program of the state where the Governor’s readiness queues into sustainable skills acquired empowerment and not as Governor advising them not to depend on only government jobs but create jobs for themselves.
He further pledged to give them every necessary support link to many opportunities with the state government programs, federal government, and will collaborate with them to make sure their planned skills acquisition program is achieved. Promised also to ensure that their organization is registered.
The highlight was the presentation of the state Chairman’s portrait in appreciation of his numerous efforts in projecting the youths.
