Gunmen attack Anambra base, kill two FRSC officials

Unknown gunmen on Sunday attacked the base of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Anambra State.

The incident took place along Igboukwu -Ezinifite-Uga road in Aguata local government area around 2.30pm

The gunmen killed two FRSC officials at the base.

The Corps Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, confirming the incident disclosed that two operatives were shot dead while the team leader sustained injuries.

Part of the statement read, “The Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, who was visibly touched decried the attack while condoling with the families of the deceased staff, the unit commander and staff of Igbo-Uku command, and the entire management and staff of the corps over the loss and prayed for their souls to rest in peace.”

Oyeyemi assured that those responsible for the attack will be arrested and brought to justice.
