As the forthcoming general elections reach their climax, the Supervising Councillor for Women Affairs, Ikwuano LGA, Hon. Rita Analaba is calling for the support of the Senatorial ambition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the forthcoming election, Col. Austin Akobundu(Rtd), for Senate Abia Central Senatorial zone.
Hon.Rita made the call on Wednesday in Ikwuano, while on a sensitization tour of the ongoing Continues Voters Registration exercise going on within the local government area.
She urged the women and youths especially, the female categories and all those who are of age to seize this opportunity to register for their PVC and get ready to vote for the candidates especially the PDP candidates in various positions.
Hon. Rita appealed to the youths and women, to vote en mass the PDP candidates for various positions, advising them to disregard all forms of prejudices and rumors.
According to her, it is only the PDP that can bring the needed development both human and infrastructural to Ikwuano and Abia in general.
She called on them to eschew all forms of violence capable of truncating the peace and stability that the PDP-led administration has built over the years in Abia State.
Hon. Rita assured the women and youths that Col.Austine Akobundu(Rtd) once elected as Senator of Abia Central will promote youth and women empowerment, quality legislation, foster unity, and promote federal character, as regards to bringing appointments, and projects.
Akubundu with his wealth of experience will make a great impact on the overall development of Ikwuano and Abia Central in general.
We all must be part of this history-making epoch to vote and elect our son, Col. Austine Akobundu(Rtd) to the Senate to represent Abia Central Senatorial zone at the National Assembly, and all other PDP candidates participating in various positions come to the 2023 general election.
We have no reason not to support and vote Col.Austine Akobundu (Rtd) for Senate and all other PDP candidates in various positions in the state, Hon. Rita added.
