… Inaugurates Environmental and Sanitation Committee

In a bid to promote cleanliness and hygiene in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, the Council Chairman, Rt. Hon. Asuakak Umoh has inaugurated Environmental and Sanitation Committee.

The committee is tasked with overseeing the implementation of environmental and sanitation policies and programmes of the Asuakak Umoh’s led administration in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area

The inauguration of the committee, according to the Chairman, is a significant step towards addressing the environmental challenges facing Ibiono Ibom.

Hon. Umoh noted that the committee’s establishment is part of the council’s efforts to provide a clean and healthy environment for residents, foster peace, and promote development in the Area.

The Committee which has its members drawn from the thirteen political wards of the Local Government is chaired by Elder Victor Etok

The Council Boss applauded the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, for maintaining a clean and green environment in the state through regular monthly sanitation exercises. He also sought continued support for greater achievements.

In his remarks, the Committee Chairman, Elder Victor Etok described the inauguration of the Committee as a welcome development and expressed optimism that it would bring about positive changes in their environment. He pledged the committee’s commitment to its purpose.

The Inauguration of the 100-man Environmental and Sanitation Committee came immediately after the Executive Chairman had earlier Inaugurated a 28-man Media Committee and a 9-man Revenue Committee in his office, bringing the total number of youths engaged by the council in the three Committees to 137
