For some time now, there have been incessant kidnapping of travelers along the Lokpanta axis of Umunnoechi Local Government Area of Abia State.

The cheering news is that our Governor Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu who made a vow few weeks ago to arrest the situation, has seen to the realization of that promise by mobilizing security agencies to the troubled area.

Recently, a kidnapper who is a member of the gang terrorizing travellers around the area was arrested by collaborative effort between the State Government and security agencies.

Few days ago, the security agencies carried out the demolition of shanties and brothels where criminal elements hide and from where they attack unsuspecting citizens.

Ignore the propaganda, Igbos don’t live in this kind of criminal hideouts.
