Senator Orji Uzoh Kali, The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Chief has stated that it is his turn to become the Senate President of the 10th Assembly of the federal republic of Nigeria.
Speaking on Tuesday to newsmen in Abuja, Senator Kalu urged the All Progressive Congress to zone the Senate President position to South East.
He also reminded the people that he has maintained a phone line for 20 years and will not change it to be accessible to the people.
It is my turn to become the Senate President. If I’m elected as the Senate President, I will build team Nigeria. I’m going to work in every corner of the Country.
I schooled at Maiduguri, Borno State. I started my business in Lagos and spread it across all state capitals.
My first name will be team Nigeria, my last name will be team Nigeria.
Remember, I’m the only former governor who has never changed phone lines for more than 20 years.
I’m still willing to maintain that telephone number to answer all my calls. I’m not going to switch off my phones because I’m Senate President.
I’m hoping that Nigerians will pray for me to become Senate President because it’s my turn.”
Chief Uzor Kalu maintained that as the Chief Whip of the Senate, he is the highest-ranking Senator in the South East and so deserves to be the Senate President.
