Liverpool identify player to sign as Salah’s replacement

Liverpool have reportedly identified Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah in the future.

Salah is out of contract with Liverpool next year.

The Egyptian captain declined a contract offer from the Premier League giants last December.

Salah and Liverpool are both eager to sign a new contract, but the Reds are yet to accede to the player’s demands.

According to Fichajes (via The Hard Tackle), Liverpool will turn to Dembele if Salah does not sign a new deal.

Dembele has endured an injury-ridden stint at Barcelona since joining the Catalan club from Borussia Dortmund for £126 million in 2017.

The report added that Liverpool are also interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s Angel Di Maria, Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio and Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry.
