Manchester United: Rio Ferdinand reveals only way Erik ten Hag will succeed at Old Trafford

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has revealed the only way the club’s new manager, Erik ten Hag will succeed at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag was appointed Manchester United’s new manager on Thursday.

The 52-year-old will replace Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season, having enjoyed five successful years at Ajax.

And Ferdinand believes the only way Ten Hag will succeed at Man United is ‘time’.

What he [Ten Hag] needs is time, guys. Give this guy time to go out there and get through a good couple of transfer windows,” Ferdinand said on the Vibe with Five YouTube channel.

He needs to reshape the squad and create a Ten Hag squad to get United back to winning things or at least challenging for the Premier League and Champions League,” he added.
