Mercy Uwakwe’s Foundation Champions Fight for Justice

Dr Mercy Uwakwe’s Foundation has finally championed the arrest and prosecution of the killers of Ms Grace, a POS retailer in Aba, who was reportedly killed by armed robbers in January. The killers who coincidentally were regular customers of Ms Grace’s POS shop were traced down after several inquests and complaints promoted by Dr Mercy Uwakwe.

Recall that on 29th January, 2021, Miss Grace, a POS operator in Aba was going about her daily business when four armed men stormed her shop and after robbing her, shot her severally and left her to die. Her sister, Miss Chinyere Metu, the actual owner of the POS shop rushed back only to find her sister in a pool of her own blood, transferring her to various hospitals plus paying for the various procedures drained Miss Chinyere completely until she ran into severe debts, unfortunately Miss Grace died the next day.

Outraged, disappointed, depressed and dejected, Miss Chinyere Metu brought her complains to Dr Mercy Uwakwe, the CEO of Mercy Uwakwe’s Foundation who swung speedily into action, contacting several military personnel and pumping in resources until eventually the criminals were traced down. Today, they have been successfully reprimanded and are awaiting trial and prosecution. It was also gathered that they orchestrated a similar robbery on Mr Chimaobi Igbokwe, also a POS agent.

Dr Mercy Uwakwe pledges to continue to undertake similar projects in her undiluted fight against oppression and for justice for the underserved and the marginalised. We continue to wish Miss Chinyere Metu well as she continues to deal with the loss of her sister, but hopefully, this brings a needed breath of fresh air and closure.
