The All Progressive Grand Alliance today May 23, 2023 concluded it’s party Congress with the election of the Chairman and members of the State working Council ( SWC ) at the state secretariate of the party at Aguiyi Ironsi street Umuahia.

The Congress which was attended by delegates from the seventeen Local government’s of the state saw Mr. Emmanuel Egwu ( Esele ) emerge as the new State chairman while the other members of the new SWC were elected from accross the seventeen Local government’s of Abia State.

The office of the state Chairman was vied for by five other contestants, High Chief Kinsley Igbokwe, Mr. Azubuike P.C. popularly called APC, Mr. Tony, Mr. Evuru, Mr. Chigoziri Okeiyi all stepped down for Mr.Emmanuel Egwu to emerge as the consensus Candidate for the office of the state Chairman.

The Congress was done under a peaceful and congenial atmosphere and by this change of guards, APGA is positioned and refocused to harness it’s destiny of delivering on the aspirations of the Abia masses through good and exemplary leadership in the nearest future.
